How-To: Upload and place a picture in your blog post.

First rate member blogs about brewing are going to need some pictures. Fermenters bubbling, messy kitchens, shots of our newly poured beers glistening in the light showing off the on-style hue...that's what its all about! This page will show you how to upload your brewing and beer related pictures for your blog posts. Keep reading.

First log in with your user name and password. Then under the 'Members' pull-down menu select 'New Blog Entry'.

A submit form should appear with the general sections for a blog post. After you've typed a bit of the body text, scroll down the screen to the 'File Attachments' section. Click the 'File Attachments' link to expand the section. To upload an image, click the browse button next to the Attach File input box.

A pop-up will appear where you can browse your hard drive for images. Select the image that you want (*.jpg and *gif files only) and click 'Open'.  Now click the 'Attach' button below the box. An upload status bar will appear while the file is uploaded.

Then you will see your file as an attachment as well as the URL underneath where you can find the image file. Highlight and copy this URL. 

Now scroll back up to the 'Body' section of the blog post. Click in the text box where you would like the picture to go to set your cursor in the right place. Then click the 'Picture' icon on the formatting toolbar above the text box.

A pop-up box should appear. Paste the URL that you copied into the Image URL box.

Then click the 'Insert' button at the bottom of the pop-up window. This should place your picture in your blog post.
